The deck: main deck (LED time, 32-band spectrum, marquee, transport), ten-band equalizer with presets, playlist. The modules are separate windows that dock together like magnets and move as one, at pixel scales from 1x to 4x, with the standard macOS window buttons. The 3D pane: the album cover becomes a jewel case turning slowly over one of five worlds: Synthwave audio-reactive terrain built from the live spectrum under a striped sun Dark Forest a moonlit river with real reflections, procedural bark, needles and moss Dunes dusk sand and a chrome skull whose eyes light the scene Neon City textured towers, shopfronts, rooftop billboards, wet asphalt, a ticker spelling the track Deep Sea caustics and light shafts, a school of fish, a wreck, a lure pulsing in the dark Each world re-skins the deck; a hue slider recolours any of them. Media keys and Now Playing work. How it is made Native Swift and Metal. A hand-written renderer with a retro pixel grid, vertex snap, dither, fog and planar reflections. Every texture, building, coral and moon is generated on the Mac at launch; the one bundled asset is the skull mesh of the Dunes world (8.6 MB of the 12 MB app). Idles at a few percent of one core and drops to 30 fps when nothing is playing. No web view, no game engine.
